A fascinating story remians to be told about how the American railroad has had a profound effect on our lives. This is a rendering of the proposed building that will celebrate railroading's past, present and future. A siginificant collection of railroad artifacts will be housed in this premiere center for rail transportation history and technology that is national in scope.

From left to right, locomotive #97 is a General Motors model FP-45 Diesel locomotive that was built in 1968 to power Santa Fe's all first-class streamliner the Super Chief that operated between Chicago and Los Angeles. The car in the middle is the Santa Fe motorcar M-160 and the piece on the right is a Santa Fe all-steel caboose build in 1947. These three pieces represent a portion of the museum's extensive collection of historic Santa Fe Railway equipment - one of the finest assemblages in the nation!

Here is an interior view of the museum's 1914 Santa Fe Parlor Club Car. This car provided lounge space on daytime runs such as Chicago-Kansas City and offered extra-fare parlor seating. It is the only one of its kind that survives today!
