Courtyard by Marriott has selected Frisco Market Center for its latest southwest site and debut of a new mid-rise prototype, Go Marriott. Marriott will occupy four acres within Frisco Market Center, along Main Street (FM 720) facing the Dallas north Tollway. The site is north of Main Event, a major family entertainment chain which will open in late 2008.
Serving both corporate and leisure travelers, the facility will offer approximately 150 rooms, 5,000 square feet of meeting space, pool, exercise area and connection to the Frisco Market Center trail system. Along with the additional much needed accommodations for Frisco visitors, Marriott will employ between 40-50 new jobs.
The Go Marriott concept includes sophisticated lobby design that transform the guest experience created from business traveler cues. Guests will find the front desk in pods versus a long counter which increases approachability with the staff, color inspired design to complement the activity in that area, environmentally friendly operations, a GoBoard with touch-screen technology offering the local time, weather and happenings, wireless technology, HDTV and three different food service choices from grab n’ go to full service. The ground breaking is anticipated for late 2008 and opening late 2009.
“Courtyard by Marriott is an exceptional addition to the development of Frisco Market Center,” states Kirk Hermansen, president of Hermansen Land Development and owner of Frisco Market Center. “As one of the most recognized brands in the hospitality industry, Courtyard by Marriott’s presence will bring leisure and corporate travel to Frisco Market Center as well as provide valuable meeting space to the other establishments,” continues Hermansen.
Frisco Market Center is the ideal location for Courtyard by Marriott with the proximity to the Dallas North Tollway, Pizza Hut Park, 20 neighboring soccer fields and entertainment venues along with Frisco’s rapid growth and affluent demographics. Additional pad sites and lease space at Frisco Market Center are available through Venture Realty.
