The Frisco RoughRiders have announced that Lisa Dominy, 2nd grade teacher at Bright Elementary in Frisco, has been named Teacher of the Month for May.
At Bright Elementary she is the gifted/talented coordinator and involved with the District Improvement Team and the Community Social Committee. In addition to her duties at Bright Elementary, Dominy also teaches at her church.
Dominy is the second teacher to win the award after twin sisters Krista and Kim Cook from Fisher Elementary won the award in April.
Parents, students, PTA members, and fellow educators and administrators are encouraged to nominate outstanding teachers. Nomination forms can be found at the Dr Pepper Ballpark administrative office, the Frisco schools administrative office, or visiting www.ridersbaseball.com.
Educators receiving the award will receive four tickets and Founders Club passes for a game at Dr Pepper Ballpark in addition to a VIP tour of the ballpark, on field recognition, and a $500 donation in their name. The donation will be split between the teacher’s school and the Frisco Education Foundation. In addition, the individual nominating the winning teacher will receive four tickets to attend the game at which their teacher is honored.
