Q: What do you get when you combine 63 horses, Hollywood-grade special effects, and 46 aerialists, actors and performers under the world’s largest traveling big top? A: Odysseo by Cavalia, the latest Vegas-style show to come to Frisco!
You might be thinking “hmm, it sounds a lot like a Cirque du Soleil production,” which are also known to frequent Frisco. Well, it just so happens that the founder of Cavalia is also one of the co-founders of Cirque. Odysseo is a $30 million production that’s said to be the world’s largest touring show with “the biggest stage, the most beautiful special effects, and the greatest number of horses that run free” during the performance. Not to mention the 350 costumes and 100 pairs of shoes. Cavalia tells the story of horses and their humans, which take the audience on a journey through many different landscapes that feature a gigantic carousel, a 33-ft. mountain and an 80,000(!) gallon lake.
Cavalia resides under the big top outside Dr Pepper Arena now through February 8, and tickets range from $29.50 – $149.50 with VIP packages available for $129.50 – $259.50.
