August means that summer is slowly winding down and school is almost back in session. If you're still looking for some great family activities to squeeze in before summer ends, check out these awesome August events!
 

Frisco RoughRiders Home Games:

August marks the last full month of the season for the Frisco RoughRiders and with 15 home games, there are plenty of opportunities to catch a game before the season ends. Enjoy Taco Tuesday ($2 tacos all game long), Weiner Wednesday ($1 hot dogs all game long) and Thirsty Thursday ($1 domestic beers and $1 Dr Pepper products from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.)! If you're really trying to beat the heat, take advantage of the Choctaw Lazy River for $39 on Thursday and Sunday games.

Summer is in full swing and the weather is just about as hot as the race for the playoffs in the Western Conference! Before schools starts back up, take the family out to Toyota Stadium to watch FC Dallas try to stay atop the Western Conference standings. There are 2 BIG games in August. DTID!



2017 Major League Lacrosse Championship

Saturday, August 19

For the first time ever, Major League Lacrosse (MLL) will host their Championship Game in the state of Texas! The game will be held at Ford Center at The Star. Tickets are on sale now at Ticketmaster.com or by calling (800) 745-3000. 



Dallas Cowboys 2017 Training Camp

Monday, August 21 - Thursday, August 24; Monday, August 28 - Tuesday, August 29

The Dallas Cowboys will host six practices as part of 2017 Training Camp at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco. This event will provide fans the opportunity to see current Dallas Cowboys players and coaches as they practice and prepare for the upcoming 2017 football season. Admission and parking to all practices is free and open to the public, however a ticket is needed for entry to Ford Center. Tickets for each practice are limited.
