Although school is right around the corner, August means many good things; summer is finally winding down and LOTS of great activities for the whole family in Frisco! Check out some of our favorites...


NOW OPEN at Frisco Discover Center

TrainTopia is a new and permanent exhibit apart of the Museum of the American Railroad. It is a G-scale model train layout that spans more than 2,500 sq. ft., has six precision trains that run simultaneously and is valued at more than $1 million. TrainTopia will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays. Tickets will be $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Mission Day Ingress

Saturday, August 18

Have you ever wanted to explore the in/outs of the City of Frisco? In collaboration with Ingress volunteers, you will have the opportunity to complete 18 high quality missions to explore the city on foot together. If you complete at least 6 missions, you'll receive a Mission Day Frisco medal.

Dallas Cowboys Training Camp at The Star

The Dallas Cowboys will host five practices as part of 2018 Training Camp presented by American Airlines at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco on August 20 – 28. Training camp practices provide fans the opportunity to see current Dallas Cowboys players and coaches as they prepare for the 2018 season. Admission and parking are free and open to the public. Entry is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Saturday, August 18 vs. Minnesota United FC at 7PM

Western Conference leading FC Dallas heads in to August almost as hot at the North Texas weather! Looking to clinch a playoff spot, they have 2 BIG home games in August and will need some home support. If you've been wanting to sit under the new awning below the future National Soccer Hall of Fame, check out the 'South End Social' for the August 4 game vs. San Jose! $49 will get you lots of great stuff. To say the the inaugural season for the Dallas Ratters has been a success would be an understatement. The Rattlers are riding the leagues longest winning streak (7 games) and just clinched a home playoff game on August 11! The first place Rattlers have a final home game on August 4th before they gear up for the playoffs the following weekend. Tickets for the August 11 playoff game are on-sale now!
