Get your calendars ready because you won’t want to miss the abounding sporting events coming up in Frisco. There are games to watch from college basketball, baseball and football to pro teams at every turn, plus races to run and tournaments and competitions to enjoy.

Here’s a handy list of some of the sports events to look forward to in Frisco.

January

NCAA Division I Football Championship Series: January 8, 2022
The Montana State Bobcats and the North Dakota State Bison will face off in Frisco to compete for the NCAA Division I FCS National Championship title at Toyota Stadium.

The Dallas Mavericks G League affiliate is already in mid-season form with home games throughout the month of January and stretching all the way into April. Get in on the family fun entertainment of great basketball at Comerica Center in Frisco. Full schedule here.

USHL Frosty Cup: January 28-29, 2022
Hockey fans should head to Comerica Center as the Tri-City Storm and Lincoln Stars hit the ice for two games.

February

WOGA Classic & Liukin Invitational: February 11-13, 2022
Ford Center at The Star hosts the WOGA Classic and Valeri Liukin Invitational where thousands of competitors from 16 countries in women’s and men’s artistic gymnastics, acrobatics, trampoline and tumbling showcase their skills.

SheBelieves Cup: February 23, 2022
Women’s Soccer takes over Toyota Stadium as the US Women’s National team faces Iceland and New Zealand faces Czech Republic in a double header.

USA Gymnastics Winter Cup: February 25-27, 2022
USA’s greatest gymnasts are coming to Frisco’s Ford Center at the Star for three exciting competitions in one weekend! The weekend includes The Winter Cup, a qualifying event for the 2022 U.S. Gymnastics Championship, The Nastia Liukin Cup showcasing top Junior Olympics gymnasts, and The Elite Team Cup featuring nine men’s regional teams.

FC Dallas
Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas kicks off their season at home facing Toronto. Mark your calendars for more soccer at Toyota Stadium through the FC Dallas season, which runs through October. Find the full schedule here.

March

Lone Star Conference Basketball Championships: March 1-6, 2022
The top men’s and women’s teams in the Lone Star Conference face off with early rounds on campus and quarterfinals, semifinals and championship game action at Frisco’s Comerica Center. 

Frisco College Baseball Classic: March 4-6, 2022
The Frisco College Baseball Classic is the premier collegiate baseball tournament outside of the College World Series. Texas A&M, Iowa, Wichita State, and Washington State compete in a 3-day tournament at Riders Field.

Conference USA Men's & Women's Basketball Championships: March 9-12, 2022
The CUSA Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championships take over Ford Center at The Star, with all 22 games of men’s and women’s competition to earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Championship.

Redline Cheer Texas Grand Nationals: March 26, 2022
Ford Center at the Star hosts this premier cheer event to wrap up the 2022 season.


April

Frisco Fighters
Fast, action-packed family fun of Frisco Fighters Indoor Football is back! The Frisco Fighters take on the Bismarck Bucks on April 1 at Comerica Center and return home to face the Spokane Shock on April 30. The Frisco Fighters season includes home games in May, June and July. Find the full schedule here.

Frisco RoughRiders
The RoughRiders are proud to be the Texas Rangers Double-A affiliate, with incredible baseball excitement right here in Frisco. Catch the post-game fireworks shows for Friday and Saturday night games. The RoughRiders season runs through September. Find the full schedule here.

Redline Cheer’s The Glow Tour: April 8-10, 2022
This 3-day cheer event at Comerica Center starts off with a Glow Party, plus fun and competition for hundreds of junior cheerleaders and fans.

Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K: April 9, 2022
2022 Texas Big Star Half Marathon & 5K is back! Get in on the race action at Collin College Preston Ridge campus in Frisco. 100% of the proceeds go to The North Texas Community Giving Foundation. 

24 Seven Dance Break the Floor: April 29 - May 1, 2022
Embassy Suites Hotel & Convention Center hosts dancers from all over the country during a weekend of dance workshops and competition.

May

National Soccer Hall of Fame Induction Weekend: May 21-22, 2022
Celebrate the National Soccer Hall of Fame Induction Class with a weekend of activities. The private induction ceremony takes place inside the Hall of Fame and is live streamed on NationalSoccerHOF.com. Then, 3-time Grammy Award Winners Zac Brown Band headlines the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Concert at Toyota Stadium. And, round out the weekend with an FC Dallas home match!

August

Dallas Cowboys Training Camp: Dates TBD
During Dallas Cowboys Training Camp practice, fans have the chance to see America’s Team as they prepare for the next season. Events surrounding training camp at The Star in Frisco may include scrimmages, fan zone, meet and greets and more.

November

North Texas Turkey Trot: November 24, 2022
Get moving early on Thanksgiving Day. Run first, eat later!  Participants of the North Texas Turkey Trot can choose the 1 mile, 5K or 10K course around Frisco Square.

December

Tropical Smoothie Café Frisco Bowl: Date TBD
The Tropical Smoothie Café Frisco Bowl is played at Toyota Stadium and showcases a team from the American Athletic Conference and an at-large team.

Frosty 5K & Merry Mile: December 3, 2022
Runners of all ages take on the Merry Mile or the 5K, starting at Simpson Plaza. Proceeds benefit the Play Frisco scholarship program, S.O.A.R.
