Spirited and Faithful

8220 Wade Blvd. Frisco, Texas 75034

Robin Brailsford was inspired to create this sculpture after visiting The Chinati Foundation in Marfa, TX. What now houses world-class art was once Fort D.A. Russell, the home of the 1st Calvary in the early 1930s. A plaque with the regiment motto “Animo et Fide” was left onsite by the regiment in honor of Louie, their oldest horse. Brailsford refers to the artwork as Tammy, the name chosen in 2007 by a resident adjacent to the park.
