(Frisco, Texas) February 1, 2016 ~ The Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau announced today the promotion of Ryan Callison to Director of Marketing and Communications, as well as the hire of Wesley Lucas as Communications Manager.


“We’re thrilled to welcome Wesley aboard and extremely proud of Ryan and all he has accomplished here in Frisco,” says Marla Roe, Frisco CVB executive director. “Their respective experience will be a great asset to not only the Frisco CVB, but for the city of Frisco as we continue to grow and market this growing destination.”


Ryan, who has been with the Frisco CVB since 2014, continues to work on sharing the story of Frisco to travel writers and media from around the country. Now as the Director of Marketing and Communications, he will focus on developing new marketing initiatives to reach potential leisure and business travelers. There will also be a focus on working with a larger media audience and working with the state tourism office to promote all the things happening in Frisco.


Wesley joins the Frisco CVB with more than nine years of experience in the travel and tourism industry. She earned her degree in Public Relations from Texas Tech University. As the Communications Manager, Wesley will work with the Director of Marketing and Communications to promote the destination and its stakeholders to potential leisure and business travelers through media outreach, editorial campaigns and social media efforts. Most recently, Wesley worked as the Communications Coordinator with the Grapevine Convention & Visitors Bureau.
