Frisco, TX (September 12, 2024)—The Frisco Rail District brand personality and visual identity officially launches today, Thursday, September 12, 2024, during a celebration expected to attract around 100 stakeholders.

The branding elements include a tagline, logo, color palette, brand identity outline, voice and tone guide, and examples of how the brand can be embodied across traditional and digital channels.

The launch celebration will include these examples brought to life by local vendors who’ve created coasters, tote bags, T-shirts, posters, and more to showcase the power of the Frisco Rail District brand platform.

“The branding is beautiful, but it’s also powerful because it’s so deeply connected to the research and public consultation that took place during this process,” said Cori Powers, Visit Frisco’s Director of Marketing and Communications, who spearheaded and oversaw the project.

The special event marks the culmination of branding activities, which officially began in April of this year, following recommendations in the initial development study. The process included public consultation of more than 850 people and stewardship from community leaders, Frisco City Council, and Frisco Rail District stakeholders.

Each design element was carefully curated to map to the key findings of the process.

The logo typeface is fun and friendly, conveying a community-focused voice and tone. The research repeatedly stated the Rail District is ‘for anyone and everyone,’ and the straightforward design is deliberately approachable and easy to read. The single star roots the Frisco Rail District to its location in North Texas and connects it to the state's history.

The tagline, “Good to Be Here,” was also deliberate. It links to the internal mantra for the Frisco Rail District endorsed by local stakeholders and Frisco City Council members: ‘We believe a genuine Frisco experience rooted in connection and community is good for residents, visitors, and local businesses'.

“It took a lot of hard, strategic, and creative work, but looking at this brand coming to life around us makes it worthwhile,” said Powers.

Visit Frisco, the Frisco Economic Development Corporation (EDC), and the Frisco Chamber of Commerce are now actively using the brand and planning marketing strategies and tactics to drive residents and visitors to the district and support local business owners.

“We know it’s not enough just to launch a brand,” said Powers. “That’s why we’re collaborating to provide strategic support for the community through a variety of marketing channels.”
