Travel Lemming, a US-based online travel guide read by more than 10 million travelers, today announced its list of the top 50 destinations in the world for 2024. Frisco, Texas was named the #38 best place to travel globally.
Today’s announcement is part of the publication’s annual list of 50 best places to travel, a project that highlights emerging destinations and hidden gems around the world.
The article calls Frisco “one of the country’s fastest-growing regions,” and says that visitors enjoy “southern hospitality, world-famous barbecue, and an abundance of entertainment.” Marla Roe, Executive Director of Visit Frisco, commented: “There’s no end to the things to do and experience in Frisco in 2024. People of all ages can find their favorite way to play from enjoying a RoughRiders baseball game in the lazy river, putting on the nation’s largest natural grass putting course at PGA Frisco, or soaking in the music, art, and shopping throughout the city.”
The annual list is a collaborative project of the publication’s team of more than 35 travel writers and editors. Travel Lemming’s local travel experts each nominate their favorite destinations for consideration by the publication's editorial board.
By region, the full list of 50 destinations includes 15 destinations in Europe, 7 in Asia, 2 in South America, 2 in Oceania, 2 in Africa, 5 in North America (besides the US), and 17 in the United States.
