The Frisco Rail District’s culinary scene is in full swing, bringing a dining experience for any palate or occasion.

Here's a curated list of eateries you won’t want to miss.

On the Menu: Family Night Out!

Cozy up with your favorite people at this locally-owned wine bar and kitchen exuding charm and warmth. Known for its stellar selection of wines and craft beers, it’s also a foodie haven. Try the jalapeño popper pizza, a bold pie with a spicy kick, or the truffled parmesan chips, perfectly crisp and indulgently seasoned. And if you’re in the mood for something sweet, the s’mores board is a MUST for sharing. eight | 11’s patio, complete with fire pits, is the ideal setting for live music nights, where the vibe is as good as the food.

Didi's Downtown

On the Menu: Downhome Southern Cooking

Treat your group to a taste of the South at Didi’s. Here, comfort food gets a creative makeover, helmed by Chef Scott Hoffner, whose passion for scratch-made dishes shines in every bite. Start your night out with some Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, a flavorful twist on the classic sandwich. For your main course, the blackened catfish Pontchartrain is a showstopper, served with a rich red bell pepper cream sauce. Don’t skip dessert—the hot fudge pie and beignets are worth every decadent bite. A Frisco Rail District meal wouldn’t be complete without some Southern hospitality, so don’t be surprised if Chef Scott stops by your table with a friendly Texas welcome.

Haystack Burgers and Barley

On the Menu: the Texas Burger of Your Dreams

When your burger cravings hit, run—don’t walk—to Haystack. The signature, irresistibly juicy, perfectly grilled Haystack Burger, topped with fried onions, BBQ sauce and cheddar cheese, is what you’ll order. Pair it with their addictive Kennebeck fries, hand-cut and perfectly crispy, and you’ve got yourself a meal worth writing home about. Not a burger fan? Heard that. The Taos chicken sandwich with poblano peppers and guacamole offers a lighter but equally satisfying option.

The Heritage Table

On the Menu: Locally Sourced Ingredients

If you drive through the Frisco Rail District often, you can’t miss the beautifully restored Victorian home that is The Heritage Table. A charming neighborhood favorite, the team takes pride in a menu crafted from sustainably- and thoughtfully sourced ingredients, thanks to strong partnerships with local farmers and a commitment to zero-waste practices. Dinner highlights include the Texas gulf redfish, country-fried chicken, wagyu steak, and more. Plus, creative cocktails, like our town’s namesake the “Friscopolitan,” complement the dishes oh-so-nicely. Oh, and did I mention they were nominated for Best Chef - Texas in the 2024 James Beard Awards? Congratulations to Chef Rich Vana!

5th Street Patio Cafe

On the Menu: a Break from the Grind

The busy schedule of life can quickly get away from us but make sure to slow things down at 5th Street Patio Cafe, your home away from home right here in the Frisco Rail District. They’re Frisco famous for hearty breakfast and brunch dishes like the Bananas Foster French Toast and Captain Crunch French Toast. If you’re in the mood for savory, the fried egg and bacon sandwich comes with applewood smoked bacon—on Texas toast, of course.

Marianas Taco Shop

On the Menu: the Best Tacos in Town

I’ve tried many a taco in Frisco and I can say, without a doubt, Marianas is my favorite. Brimming with flavor and always delicious, you can’t go wrong no matter what you order. I’d recommend starting with a few chicken street tacos on corn, loaded with your choice of fillings. I like to keep it simple with chopped onions, avocado, cilantro, and a squeeze of fresh lime to let Mariana’s magic shine through. Other rave-worthy bites include the California burrito, carne asada fries, and homemade churros. I also stumbled upon their Horchata years back and have refused to order one from anywhere else since. The taco shop’s adorable house and patio, adorned with string lights and red umbrellas, make it a go-to spot for my husband, dog (Mookie, photographed below!), and me, no matter the season.

Randy's Steakhouse

On the Menu: a Fabulous Date Night

Elevate your next night out with your sweetheart at Randy’s! A steak lover’s haven, they’re experts in the filet mignon, which they pair with creamy, dreamy mashed potatoes. Seafood lovers will adore the parmesan-crusted tilapia. Whatever you order, just make sure to complement your meal with a glass from their extensive wine list. Housed in a charming historic home right off Main, Randy’s offers an intimate setting for date nights or special celebrations. And for a fun holiday idea: reserve a private dining experience with a curated menu selected by the team.

The Depot Cafe

On the Menu: a Taste of Frisco’s Past

If you’re a breakfast lover (who isn’t?), Depot Cafe is your spot. All in a family-owned, train-themed spot, the biscuits and gravy are fluffy, buttery perfection, while the Depot Omelet, packed with your choice of meats and veggies, is hearty and satisfying. And their pancakes? As big as the Texas sky.
