‘Tis The Season To Celebrate In Frisco

 

(Frisco, Texas) November 23, 2016 ~ With the holidays fast approaching, the time to celebrate the season is here. From light shows and tree lightings to flying acrobats and Santa Claus, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the holiday spirit in Frisco.

 

Christmas in the Square – Taking place November 25 through January 1, 2017, Christmas in the Square is the largest choreographed lights and music display in North Texas. The nightly show begins at 6 p.m. and features more than 175,000 lights, 11.5 miles of wiring and over 8 miles of extension cords. Christmas in the Square also features an outdoor ice skating rink, carriage rides, Christmas tree lot and much more. Want to see it snow in Frisco? Snow flurries take place in Frisco Square every 15 minutes on Fridays and Saturdays. Don’t miss the Special Event Night, Saturday, December 17 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. This night only, enjoy additional activities including Parachuting Santa, holiday vendors, snow tubing and more. Merry Main Street – Kick off the Christmas season in Frisco at Merry Main Street on Saturday, December 3 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. This annual event features the lighting of The City of Frisco Christmas Tree in front of the George A. Purefoy Municipal Center, as well as Santa’s arrival, live reindeer, carriage rides and more. Merry Main Street is a free event; however, some activities do require a fee. Frisco RoughRiders Winter Wonderland – In conjunction with Toys for Tots, the Frisco RoughRiders are hosting the club’s inaugural “Winter Wonderland” at Dr Pepper Ballpark on Friday, December 9 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. The free-to-attend, open-to-the-public event will feature carriage rides, the Vocal Magic carolers, and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, accompanied by their reindeer. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., RiderVision, the state-of-the-art video board at Dr Pepper Ballpark, will screen Christmas classics. Visit RidersBaseball.com for details.

 

Photos with Santa – Make time to see Santa and tell him all of your Christmas wishes at Photos with Santa at Stonebriar Centre. Breakfast with Santa – Enjoy Breakfast with Santa, hosted by Dave & Buster’s Frisco, November 26 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tickets include breakfast, time with Santa and access to Dave & Buster’s Million Dollar Midway. Frosty 5K & Merry Mile – Don your merriest running gear or costume and take part in one of Frisco’s most popular holiday traditions, the Frosty 5K & Merry Mile, Saturday, December 10. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Visit friscofun.org for details.

 

The Frisco Ballet presents “The Nutcracker” – Experience one of the world’s most popular ballets Saturday, December 10 at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at Reedy High School in Frisco. Tickets are $15 per person. Visit thefriscoballet.org for more details.

 

Cirque Musica Holiday Spectacular – Don’t miss a new concert and visual experience the entire family will enjoy.
