Travel + Leisure – the largest travel media brand in the United States – has released the results of the 2024 World's Best Awards' reader survey, recognizing Omni PGA Frisco Resort as the #1 Texas Resort, with a reader score of 94.12.

The annual World’s Best Awards are considered the travel industry’s most trusted rankings, honoring leaders across various travel categories, including top cities, islands, hotels, cruise lines, airlines, and airports, highlighting those who made a significant impression on readers across 122 categories. Over 186,000 T+L readers completed the 2024 survey. A total of more than 700,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.).
Hotels were classified as either resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, and they were specifically rated on the criteria of rooms/facilities, location, service, food, and value. For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses.
Travel + Leisure describes Omni PGA Frisco Resort, which opened in May 2023, as a property that quickly stole the hearts of readers and claimed the No. 1 spot. They say voters revered the property’s four swimming pools, comfortable beds, impeccable service, and attention to detail. Steps away from the PGA of America Headquarters who relocated to Frisco in 2022, the resort was made for golf fanatics but also caters amenities to nongolfers as well. The property, known as PGA Frisco, features two 18-hole championship courses, Fields Ranch East and Fields Ranch West, a 10-hole short course named The Swing, and a two-acre putting course dubbed The Dance Floor. There’s also a Lounge by Topgolf with simulators, Ice House restaurant with live hitting bays, fine dining at Trick Rider, plus 10 additional dining options and a retail and entertainment district.
