Visit Frisco is announcing the launch of a new marketing campaign partnership with the area’s professional sports teams, designed to integrate the city’s branding of Sports City USA to include the dining, shopping and cultural attractions the city offers.

“We love our sports here in Frisco, but we're not just a one-trick pony,” said Marla Roe, Executive Director at Visit Frisco. “That's why we're excited to announce the launch of Visit Frisco's playful new campaign, showing visitors all the sights, tastes and experiences Frisco is proud to share.”

In partnership with the destination’s agency partner, VERB Interactive, Visit Frisco worked with city stakeholders including Mayor Jeff Cheney, Tammy Meinershagen, Chair of Frisco Arts Foundation, and Nick Shafer, Vice President of Operations at Toyota Stadium, along with local business owners and content creators to develop The City that Plays platform.

The team also worked directly with the Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Legends, the Dallas Stars, FC Dallas, Frisco RoughRiders, the PGA of America and Frisco Fighters to assign some famous, historic and unique play strategies to activities such as dining, outdoor exploration, shopping and more.

“Frisco is such a vibrant city and we were happy to work with Visit Frisco to showcase this community,” said FC Dallas President Dan Hunt.  “Whether it’s an FC Dallas match at Toyota Stadium or enjoying some of the city’s other great entertainment options, Frisco offers something for everyone.”

The campaign includes a highly-focused and targeted digital marketing strategy that encompasses social, display, audio and video advertising. Additionally, Visit Frisco is in the process of evolving its website platform and email designs to align with The City that Plays messaging.

“This launch is just the first step in our plan to ensure Frisco stands out and stands apart from other destinations,” says Roe. “We will continue to work with our local stakeholders and amazing professional teams to think bigger and bolder about the way we market our city.”
