(Frisco, Texas) January 10, 2018 ~ Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has awarded Visit Frisco a Silver Adrian Award in the Digital Marketing segment, Geo-Targeted category for a Meetings Geo-Fence Campaign the organization launched in August 2017. This is the first HSMAI Adrian Award for Visit Frisco.
Founded in 1957, the HSMAI Adrian Awards recognize hospitality brands and agencies for creativity and innovation in advertising, digital marketing, and public relations. Senior industry and media experts select winners from a field of nearly 1,200 entries from every segment of the industry, including hotels, airlines, cruise lines, car rental companies, destinations, credit card companies and more.
Geo-targeted campaigns deliver different content to internet users based on his or her geographic location. Visit Frisco’s objective was to inform potential clients about the city’s brand-new luxury hotel and new meeting space opportunities. To do this, the organization geo-targeted a conference many sales and tourism ambassadors were attending. The goal was to showcase the new Omni Frisco Hotel to a high percentage of attendees and then re-target them for 30 days following the show to keep Frisco top-of-mind.
The campaign successfully resulted in more than 500,000 impressions (including the 30-day retargeting), 210 clicks thru to the custom landing page during the event and 7,564 clicks thru to the custom landing page during the 30-day retargeting. So far, this campaign has directly resulted in eight groups potentially hosting their event in Frisco.
