Happy St. Patrick’s Day! There will be LOTS of green, bagpipes and maybe a few pots of gold (could we be so lucky?)!
This annual holiday occurs each year on March 17 in observance of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. What began as a religious feast day in the 17th century has evolved into a variety of festivals across the globe celebrating Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, and a whole lot of green.
Fun Fact… nearly 122 million Americans (39% of the population) celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! So, as not to be left out, here are a few spots in Frisco you can expect to find a St. Patrick’s Day celebration:
Derbyshire Pub
Get in the spirit, raise a pint, and celebrate at Derbyshire Pub in Frisco. Starting on March 12, enjoy limited time menu specials, green beer, and more. On March 17th starting at 5:30 p.m., hear St Patty's Day Bagpipes, hosted by Guinness.
Frisco Bar & Grill
For drink specials, and of course, green beer, the Frisco Bar & Grill is your spot on St. Patrick's Day. On March 17th, they have Luck of the Irish drink specials, including Jameson & Ginger Ales, Green Tea & Orange Tea Shots, and Irish Car Bombs. Plus, live music from Sconald starts at 8 p.m.
Rollertown Beerworks
Get ready for a St. Patrick’s celebration with stadium-sized sound, Irish rock anthems, and cold beer flowing. PRIDE – In the Name of U2 brings the unmistakable energy, passion, and iconic catalog of U2 to The Backyard at Rollertown on Saturday, March 14. And on Tuesday, March 17th get in on Shamrock Showdown Trivia at 7 p.m.
The Green Gator
March 17th at The Green Gator means green beads and cold brews. Enjoy St. Patrick's Day specials all day long!
Frisco Rail Yard
If a patio is what you seek, head to Frisco Rail Yard. When St. Patrick's Day is on a Tuesday, the Rail Yard doesn't change it to Saturday - the party is on Tuesday! This March 17th starting at 4 p.m., find Jello shots, green beer, sand volleyball, and live music at the Rail Yard.
PGA Frisco
For St. Patrick's Day fun, and green beer at all District outlets for the weekend, PGA Frisco has you feelin' lucky. Lounge by Topgolf has Guinness Beef Stew, filled with beef, potatoes, carrots, celery, Guinness gravy, and puff pastry. Ice House has Guinness BBQ Beef Short Rib, served with mashed potatoes, smoked cabbage, and Guinness BBQ sauce. Ryder Cup Grille has Irish Lamb Shank, featuring braised lamb, whipped potato, carrot, celery, and Jameson gravy.
Sidecar Social
The Star is getting in on the celebration, too. For all day specials and St. Patrick's Day fun, head to Sidecar Social in Frisco. They'll be pouring up the fun Saturday, March 14 and Tuesday, March 17.
