When did you get to Frisco and what brought you here?

My husband, Jon, and I were relocated with his job to Frisco in 2013.

Tell me about your passion behind wellness and skincare.

Since I was little, I was exposed to the beauty industry as several of my family members worked in various parts of the industry. While a freshman in college I struggled to find my direction and ended up getting a job in the beauty field which I became very good at in sales, education and professional makeup. Back in 2007, esthetics was not as prevalent, but I ended up finding a school and getting my license. From there everything took off and I spent over a decade being an Esthetician before opening up my own spa Culture A Day Spa and formulating my own skincare brand KS Esthetics.

How do you like the Frisco community and being a business owner here?

The Frisco community is so special! After living in the area for several years, and seeing the growth and potential the city had, I knew this was the place for my husband and I to plant or roots and develop a business.

What are some of your favorite things to do in Frisco - favorite place to dine, have a coffee, relax, do for entertainment?

I love that I have everything I need right here in Frisco and really don’t have to venture outside by bubble very often. The Star is an area I enjoy spending my time whether it is working out, dining at Mi Cocina, or stopping by the Omni for drinks and appetizers.

What do you want someone to know who hasn't been into Culture A Day Spa yet?

For new or potential guests of Culture A Day Spa, I like to share that we are Frisco’s local award-winning spa established in 2018. We specialize in the luxury experience featuring a 4,400 sq ft spa. Culture provides everything our guests need including robes, slippers, spa linens, and private locker. Guest have access to our amenities space with includes two lounges with a white Himalayan salt wall, infrared and traditional saunas and our exclusive Igloo Room® featuring a snow shower experience. Our spa also hosts a lot of couples, so we have created an environment for couples to enjoy the coed spaces, and we have two couples suites for massages and facials. Our menu of treatments is developed in spa, meaning our facials, massage and hybrid services are unique to us.

What is your favorite product and service at Culture?

Every product from KS Esthetics and service at Culture A Day Spa is special to me because I formulated and created the products and menu. However, the Polynesian Pearl Lift Facial is my absolute favorite. I spent seven months writing and perfecting the protocol, so every detail of the facial was purposeful, luxurious and results oriented. We launched it at our 1-year anniversary in 2019 and it’s my personal go to facial and the main facial I provide to my clients. This facial designed to instantly sculpt and lift the skin through a blend of stimulating rituals that include diamond tipped microdermabrasion, ultrasonic and cryotherapy. The finale included a fresh pearl mask improves elasticity and stimulates collagen.
