Explore New Transportation Options in Frisco
Frisco’s new on-demand, rideshare service is here and provides residents and visitors a convenient way to get around the central part of the city. GoZone connects riders to weekday destinations like work, school, and popular shopping and dining districts.
The new rideshare service is a partnership between the City of Frisco and the Denton County Transportation Authority (DCTA).
It's considered microtransit and helps get people from where they are to where they want to go.
As many as twenty rideshare GoZone vans will move riders through the ‘Zone’, which covers about a third of Frisco. The ‘Zone’ is generally bordered by Eldorado Pkwy. to the north; Hillcrest Rd. to the east; Main Street and S.H. 121 (Sam Rayburn Tollway) at its most southern boundary; and F.M. 423 to the west. The service also connects to the Northwest Plano Park and Ride.
The ride-share service operates Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Rides cost $3 - $5 per person, depending on distance. To secure a ride, download the DCTA GoZone app from the app store and get started!
Once you call for the ride on the app, the ride will show up within 30 minutes, and remember that since it's a rideshare, other people may already be in the vehicle.
Riders may have a short ‘walk’ to meet a driver. GoZone uses pre-set pickup points to optimize routing and make more rides available to more people.
