Celebrate July 4th in Frisco

It's summertime in Frisco, which means it's time to float the Lazy River at a RoughRiders baseball game, cheer on FC Dallas at a soccer match, cool down with a treat from the Snow Cone Lady, and of course, celebrate America's birthday! Here are a few ways to get in the spirit.

 

Frisco Freedom Fest

Frisco Freedom Fest presented by CoServ celebrates our nation's birthday with yummy food, great music, and aaahhh-worthy fireworks! Planning to be there? Here's what you need to know:

July 3: Kick off Freedom Fest 2024 at 6 p.m. at Simpson Plaza6101 Frisco Square Blvd. Warm up for the Cornhole Tournament begins at 6 p.m., but you must be registered to compete, so download the Scoreholio app and bring your cash to pay for your team's registration. Then, Paws & Stripes starts at 7 p.m. with the Dachshund Dash and Runway Rover Patriotic Pet Parade at 8 p.m. Space is limited so register online in advance.

July 4: Party in the Plaza begins at 6 p.m. and features an assortment of activities and entertainment for the entire family. Activities include a Party in the Plaza, Opening Ceremony with live music, a Children's Expo, a Patriotic Vendor Village, and a Classic Car show. 

Fireworks begin approximately at 9:45 p.m. following the conclusion of the FC Dallas match. The 20-minute show is one of the largest in North Texas. Fireworks are visible from the area around Frisco City Hall and Toyota Stadium.

Please remember, this is a family-oriented event. No alcohol is allowed and dogs should stay home if not registered to participate in one of the races. Find information and details on the Frisco Freedom Fest website

 

Fireworks on the Fairway at Omni PGA Frisco Resort

Take in the Fireworks on the Fairway at PGA Frisco on July 4th. Beginning at 6 p.m., there will be live music from Downtown Fever Band, family-friendly entertainment, carnival games, local food trucks, plus all the fantastic PGA Frisco dining options including Ice House, Lounge by Topgolf, Ryder Cup Grille. And, of course there's the entertainment of a modern drone show followed by a traditional fireworks show. Fireworks on the Fairway is complimentary to attend but does require a ticket. As of June 21st general admission tickets are all claimed. No ticket? No problem. You can experience it all as a staycation with deluxe room accommodations, VIP seating for the drone and fireworks show, a kid’s pass for carnival games, and more with the Omni PGA Frisco Resort's Fireworks on the Fairway Package

 

FC Dallas

Take in an MLS match Thursday, July 1st as FC Dallas hosts Portland. The fun kicks off with the soccer match at 7:30 p.m. at Toyota Stadium followed by the famous fourth fireworks show!

 

Frisco RoughRiders

Cheer on America's pastime and America's birthday at the same time with the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, the Frisco RoughRiders. The Riders start their homestand against the Arkansas Travelers with a bang on July 4th. Catch the baseball action at Riders Field at 7:05 p.m. with Thirsty Thursday drink specials and Stars & Stripes Night presented by Rhythm Energy. The July 5th and 6th games feature postgame fireworks for even more spectacular holiday fun.

Stay and Play

Make it a weekend and book an overnight stay in one of Frisco's many hotels.
