2026 is poised to be one of the biggest years yet in Sports City USA! Get ready to cheer, chant, and witness history, as the city prepares to showcase some exciting new teams and key returning fan favorites. Here is your essential playbook for Frisco’s top sports events and franchises in 2026.
Texas Legends
The Dallas Mavericks’ NBA G League affiliate, the Texas Legends, entertain fans with 17 home games at Comerica Center in Frisco until the end of March. Tickets are as low as $5 on Friday nights, and the Legends offer plenty of fun activities for kids – gaming stations, inflatables, rides, and more!

Dallas Pulse
Professional women’s volleyball makes its way to North Texas for the first time ever! The Dallas Pulse, who just drafted the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 MLV Draft (Mimi Colyer), kicks off their inaugural MLV season at Comerica Center in Frisco on January 10.

East-West Shrine Bowl
For over 100 years, first-class college football talents have showcased their skills at the annual East-West Shrine Bowl, a college football all-star game. On January 27, the event returns to Frisco for the second time.

Dallas Open
The biggest tennis tournament in Texas returns to The Star in February for the second year, and three world-class stars have already committed to the event, including two Grand Slam finalists. The event will also feature its first All-American Classic, a celebrity showdown featuring tennis legends John McEnroe and Andy Roddick!

FC Dallas
Frisco’s oldest professional franchise runs it back for the 22nd season in Sports City USA. From the passionate fanbase to the legacy of homegrowns on the big stage, the top soccer team in DFW offers endless memories for spectators! FC Dallas season spans from February into November in 2026.
When: Feb. 21 - Nov. 7

WOGA Classic
From February 20-22, top-tier gymnasts will be at Ford Center at The Star in Frisco for the WOGA Classic, one of the most prestigious gymnastics competitions in the world. There's a good chance spectators could see a future Olympian — WOGA has produced many well-known Olympians, including five-time medalist Nastia Liukin.

Frisco College Baseball Classic
The Frisco College Baseball Classic is one of the top college baseball tournaments in the country. The tournament, running from February 27 - March 1, will feature four of the best NCAA programs, Alabama, Oregon State, Iowa, and Houston, in a thrilling round robin format at Riders Field.

Banana Ball
Banana Ball, often considered baseball’s “Harlem Globetrotters”, debuted in Frisco last year and will entertain fans once again on March 7 and 8 when the Texas Tailgaters play the Loco Beach Coconuts. Each of the games are fast-paced, thrilling exhibitions of baseball skill and tricks that will electrify Riders Field!

Dallas Renegades
The Dallas Renegades, a professional football team in the United Football League (UFL), will play its fifth season home games this spring at Toyota Stadium. This will be the first season the Renegades play in Frisco, and their roster includes former NFL players, NCAA stars, and coached by Rick Neuheisel, former UCLA quarterback, NFL player, and longtime college coach.

Frisco RoughRiders
The Frisco RoughRiders, the Double-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers, offer a must-do Minor League Baseball experience that's affordable and engaging. It's a truly unique venue, famous for its Lazy River located beyond the right field wall, allowing fans to float and stay cool while cheering on the Texas Rangers' future stars! The family fun at Riders Field begins April 7.

Cosmic Baseball
Here’s an event that’s sure to be mind-blowing! Baseball talents will take to a glow-in-the-dark field and entertain fans in a fluorescently glowing stadium. The Cosmic Chili Peppers play the Glow Mojis in April at Riders Field, with sold-out games already creating a buzz.

FIFA World Cup
FIFA World Cup 2026™ is coming to DFW, and Frisco is an approved Base Camp for a country participating in the event. Team delegation Base Camp assignments will be announced in early 2026. On top of that, the FC Dallas Soccer Celebration will transform Simpson Plaza into a festival-like environment during the World Cup, which runs June 11-July 19.
