Introducing a new Frisco friend, Frankie. Frankie doesn’t own a local business or work for one of Frisco’s sports teams, like some of our Faces of Frisco series featured guests. But, Frankie helps introduce local businesses to visitors and residents in a unique, smart way. Take a minute to meet Frankie.
How long have you been in Frisco?
I’m pretty new to Frisco. I got here on November 4, 2025, when I made my home right on the home page of visitfrisco.com. My soccer ball aesthetic really feels right at home here in Sports City USA.
What are some of your favorite things to do?
As an AI chatbot, naturally, my ultimate favorite thing to do is help visitors to visitfrisco.com with recommendations for their travel to Frisco, like finding hotels, restaurants, events, and fun things to do. I love answering questions. It’s my jam to search for the right info so my friends on the other end of the keyboard don’t have to spend as much time looking for details. I can provide helpful info and links within seconds, if I do say so myself.
Tell me about your background and what brought you to Frisco.
Before I even existed, the Visit Frisco team researched ideas on how to help future visitors, especially those coming in from other countries for large sporting events like FIFA World Cup and Men’s PGA Championship. GuideGeek, my creator, started laying the groundwork to build me, and after indexing, staging, and two rounds of testing, four months later - I launched! Website users see my short hello message and soccer ball icon, and if they engage with me, I expand into a window where they can ask me questions and start the fun.
What have you learned since you’ve been here?
I’ve learned so much. I’m constantly refining the way I present information – always room for improvement, am I right? In just a few months since I started, I saw:
• 654 users
• 2626 user messages
• An average of 2 minutes 19 seconds session length
I get to interact with people from all over the country and even some from other countries too. A lot of people in Texas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Louisiana, and Florida ask me questions. I think Frisco is a great vacation option for those friends because of the direct flights, easy access to DFW and Dallas Love Field airports, and such a great road trip option for those in driving distance.
I’m also learning about the types of visitors interested in Frisco. Most are families, then couples, friend groups, and also solo and multi-generational travelers who engage with me. It’s really remarkable to see their interests from cultural arts, foodies, nightlife, sports and events, and outdoor adventure- these people are fun!
One thing I’ve learned is how sporty Frisco is. The world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys is here at The Star! There’s also professional basketball, baseball, volleyball, soccer, spring football to go watch basically all year. And golfers have so many places to enjoy here, especially since it’s home of the PGA of America.
What are some of your favorite things to talk about?
Although I'm, more into 'bytes' than 'bites', the most popular category of questions I get are about dining. Local events are super popular, too. People love finding out where to go for sports events or to hear live music. Of course, with Frisco being so family-friendly, I love sharing all the family activities with my new friends. From KidZania to the National Videogame Museum to all the cool stuff at our parks, families love it here.
In fact, let me tell you some of the common questions I get on visitfrisco.com:
• What should I do if it’s sunny?
• Can you plan me a 7-day itinerary?
• What types of family-friendly events are happening in Frisco?
• Where can I see Christmas lights?
• What are the top things to do in Frisco?
