I recently embarked on a 24-hour escapade at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco, Texas with my daughter, Athena, and her two energetic friends. Buckle up, because this journey was a rollercoaster of entertainment, delicious bites, mind-bending challenges, and a dash of retail therapy. Checking In at Hyatt Regency Frisco

Our adventure began with a seamless check-in at the Hyatt Regency Frisco, where luxury meets comfort. The spacious rooms provided a welcome respite, and I loved curling up in the cozy bed with a good book at night. 

The hotel's central location was perfect for our whirlwind itinerary, ensuring we could maximize every moment of our stay. Directly attached to Stonebriar Centre, staying at Hyatt Regency Frisco allowed us to park our car and forget it. Shopping, entertainment, dining, and a library are all just a few steps away.  

 

Retail Therapy Galore

No visit to Stonebriar is complete without a bit of shopping. We strolled through a myriad of shops, each offering a unique treasure trove. 

Our first stop was Clair’s where Athena got her ears pierced. Then, I couldn’t resist stopping at Tapville Social to grab a cocktail that I carried through the common areas of the mall while we shopped. Window shopping is particularly wonderful this time of year with Christmas displays and festive décor. 

We all loved visiting Bath & Body Works for the Grand Opening. I won’t tell you how many bags of hand soap I purchased. Let’s just say I needed to bring it back to the hotel before we continued shopping because it was too heavy to carry. 

Pizza Paradise at Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza & Taproom

The aroma of sizzling pizza dough and bubbling cheese beckoned us inside Smokin' Oak Wood-Fired Pizza & Taproom. The customizable pizzas catered to everyone's taste buds, with Athena crafting a masterpiece of pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeños – a quirky combination that surprisingly worked wonders.

To our surprise, it was karaoke night and we enjoyed belting out a few tunes, all Taylor Swift, while enjoying our food and drinks. 

We finished our meal with the most delicious s’mores dish. 

 

Movie Magic at AMC DINE-IN Stonebriar 24

After dinner, we opted for an exciting evening at AMC DINE-IN Stonebriar 24. Reclining in the plush seats, we enjoyed a cinematic masterpiece while eating popcorn. It was the perfect blend of comfort and entertainment, a fitting conclusion to a day packed with activities.

Escaping Reality at Back in Time Escape Rooms

The thrill continued the next morning as we delved into the Back in Time Escape Rooms. Locked in a room with a ticking clock, our collective problem-solving skills were put to the test. The satisfaction of unraveling clues and escaping within the allotted time was a triumph that had the girls high-fiving each other – and me secretly patting myself on the back for my detective prowess.

Lunch in the Food Court 

With a large food court filled with popular fast-food chains to unique local eateries, we each found something tasty to eat. The vibrant atmosphere and comfortable seating made it the ideal spot to take a break and indulge in a delicious meal. 

KidZania: Where Imagination Takes Flight

Next, our crew explored the wonders of KidZania, a miniature city where children can role-play as adults. Athena and her friends tried their hands at various professions, from modeling to news broadcasting, unleashing their creativity and imaginations. It was a joy to see them immerse themselves in the make-believe world, reminding me of the limitless possibilities of childhood.

Leveling Up at Dave & Buster's

With satisfied appetites, we ventured to Dave & Buster's for an evening of gaming excitement. From classic arcade games to immersive virtual reality experiences, the laughter and friendly competition echoed through the neon-lit venue. I couldn't resist challenging the girls to a round of air hockey, and let's just say, I had to brush up on my skills to keep up with Athena's lightning-fast reflexes.

Literary Escape at Library CONNECTION

For a touch of serenity, we visited Library CONNECTION, a haven for book lovers. While the girls explored the variety of books, I discovered a cozy nook to continue reading my captivating novel. It was a tranquil pause amidst the hustle and bustle, a moment to appreciate the importance of balancing excitement with quiet reflection.

As the 24-hour clock wound down, I couldn't help but marvel at the myriad experiences packed into our whirlwind journey. From thrilling escapes to gastronomic delights and moments of quiet contemplation, Stonebriar Centre truly offers a multifaceted escape for families.
