Happy St. Patrick’s Day! There will be LOTS of green, bagpipes and maybe a few pots of gold (could we be so lucky?)!
This annual holiday occurs each year on March 17 in observance of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. What began as a religious feast day in the 17th century has evolved into a variety of festivals across the globe celebrating Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, and a whole lot of green.
Fun Fact… nearly 122 Million Americans (39% of the population) celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! So, as not to be left out, here are a few spots in Frisco you can expect to find a St. Patrick’s Day celebration:
With Irish in the name, you can expect these guys to throw one heck of a fun St. Patrick’s Day celebration. This year, they don’t plan to disappoint. Of course they’ll have green beer available, as well as Irish American specialties on the menu including Corn Beef and Cabbage, Shepherd's Pie, Fish and Chips, Bangers and Mash, and much more.
Seeing that St. Patrick was actually born in Britain in 387, the Brits reserve the right to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day too! It just so happens that the British Lion Pub has actually been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day ALL WEEK long. Enjoy daily food and drink specials, music and lots of fun through Saturday.
