Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Today, there will be LOTS of green, bagpipes and maybe a few pots of gold (could we be so lucky?)!

This annual holiday occurs each year on March 17 in observance of the death of St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. What began as a religious feast day in the 17th century has evolved into a variety of festivals across the globe celebrating Irish culture with parades, special foods, music, dancing, and a whole lot of green.

Fun Fact… nearly 122 Million Americans (39% of the population) celebrate St. Patrick’s Day! So, as not to be left out, here are a few spots in Frisco you can expect to find a St. Patrick’s Day celebration:

Seeing that St. Patrick was actually born in Britain in 387, the Brits reserve the right to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day too! It just so happens that the British Lion Pub has actually been celebrating St. Patrick’s Day ALL WEEK long. Enjoy daily food and drink specials, music and lots of fun through Saturday.

Frisco Rail Yard

The weather is looking good, so if a patio is what you seek, head to Frisco Rail Yard. For St. Patrick’s Day they’ve got green beer on tap, 5th Street Patio Café, FreZko Taco Spot and Cajun Tailgators will be serving up some yummy food, 2 Gingers Whiskey girls will be there serving up some of their popular Irish Whiskey and Cast Iron Soul will be on stage beginning at 6 p.m.

Head to Historic Downtown Frisco for Stan’s Main Street’s Shamrock & Roll Party! Not only will be Stan’s serving up some food and drink specials and live music, but will holding a Leprechaun contest! So don your green, your top hat and grab that pot of gold for a chance to win a prize!

This St. Patrick’s Day, get ready to shake your shamrock and enjoy live music beginning at 8:30 p.m. at The Frisco Bar. This local bar and grill will have green beer on tap and will be serving up their popular menu of yummy eats.

Known for nightly live music, Rockin S Bar & Grill is excepting shenanigans and lots of 80s fun this St. Patrick’s Day. Enjoy drink specials, good food, green beer and Live 80 on stage beginning at 9 p.m. No cover before 8 p.m.
