Introducing a pop of exhilarating professional sports here in Frisco during March, April, May, June, and July - the Frisco Fighters. For those not familiar with one of the latest sports teams to add to Sports City USA's roster, the Fighters play in the Indoor Football League (IFL), which is the highest level of professional indoor football in the United States. Founded in 2009, the IFL is in its 15th season of play, and the Fighters are in their fourth season playing at Comerica Center.

The level of play is legit, featuring the world's best indoor football players and coaches. More than 100 players from the IFL have signed contracts with National Football League (NFL) or Canadian Football League (CFL) teams, by far the most among other indoor football leagues. That proven track record is probably one reason you see the intensity heat up on the field. Players are ready to compete, and, lucky for the fans, they are ready to entertain, too!

50 Yards of Fury

There's a reason they call it '50 yards of fury'. This football is fast. It's high energy, pad-crashing, chains-moving, high-scoring football. The intensity between the players is felt in the arena as players balance their high-level skills performance and the performance of pushing each other's buttons to ante up the drama and excitement.

The Atmosphere

Fans can expect everything from catching a football in the first row to doing the YMCA and definitely seeing some hard hitting tackles right in your face. The in-game hosts and music keep the crowd involved and hyped in addition to the face pace of the game.

"It's a cool interactive experience because you can catch balls, and it's exhilarating football"

Kids go crazy for the action on the turf. With dramatic kick returns and long yardage receptions, it's no surprise to glance up at the scoreboard and see the Fighters hang 30 points on their opponent by halftime. Teenager Wesley Block attended his first Frisco Fighters game this season and loved the atmosphere. "It's a cool interactive experience because you can catch balls, and it's exhilarating football," Block said.

In the Family

Comerica Center is not only home to the Fighters, but also the Texas Legends (NBA G-league affiliate of the Dallas Mavericks) and the Dallas Stars. It goes a beyond simply sharing space in the venue, actually. When the Dallas Stars partnered with the Fighters ownership, the Steve Germain Family, the Stars took over managing sales and marketing of the team. If you happen to attend a Frisco Fighters game on a Dallas Stars game day don't be surprised to get score updates and that famous 'Dallas Stars" goal celebration when the Stars score. Just another reason to get in on the family fun at Comerica Center!

The Fighters offer season ticket memberships and single game tickets, but act quick because the Frisco Fighters season goes by as fast as those chains move!
