The FDC includes a Black Box Theater, Art Gallery, home for Sci-Tech, and the National Videogame Museum.

The Sci-Tech Discovery Center provides dynamic educational experiences that inspire people of all ages and backgrounds to embrace discovery and innovation through the active exploration of science, math and technology. That’s what Sci-Tech Discovery Center hopes to inspire by providing hands-on discovery experiences in the essential areas of science, math and technology to kids of all ages and backgrounds. Sci-Tech Discovery Center seeks to spark a life-long interest and help equip our area’s children with these advanced skills. At Sci-Tech they believe in advancing education and providing inspiration to the next generation of engineers, scientists, educators and innovators.

Sci-Tech Discovery Center

The National Videogame Museum is the only museum in America dedicated to the history of the videogame industry. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that brings together the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) values within videogames. These values are presented both as an entertainment medium and a career path as a highly interactive, entertaining and educational experience. The NVM archive is unparalleled in size and comprised of dozens of one-of-a-kind artifacts, in addition to more than 100,000 pieces of videogame hardware, software, documentation and memorabilia. The center is available for corporate events, birthday parties, field trips and research studies and is open to the public six days a week.

National Videogame Museum

This one-of-a-kind experience features running G-scale trains on a 2,500 sq. ft. layout, a custom light show which takes the exhibit from daylight to nighttime, and hundreds of miniature automobiles and people. The exhibit spans Arizona to Texas, from the dramatic rock formations of the Four Corners region near New Mexico, to a thriving Northeast Texas in the early 1960s. Also featured is an animated downtown Dallas street scene, the Palo Duro Drive-In Theater with a movie playing, West Texas refineries and working saw mills in Colorado! With approximately ¼ mile of G-scale track, this exhibit is sure to please families of all ages.

The Frisco Discovery Center creates well-being through play with theater, art, dance, and imagination. The Discovery Center is home to the Frisco Art Gallery, Black Box Theater, and three partner museums: Sci-Tech Discovery Center, TrainTopia, and the National Videogame Museum.
