FRISCO TO HOST TWO BOWL GAMES IN DECEMBER 2026

Frisco, TX (June 3, 2026) — As part of ESPN Events’ announcement of the 2026-27 bowl schedule, the city of Frisco, Texas, will host two postseason college football bowl games in December 2026 at Ford Center at The Star. This is the second consecutive year the venue will host two bowl games. Both games will air live on ESPN.

“Our team is delighted to bring the excitement of college football’s Bowl Season back to Frisco with two more games this December,” said Sean Johnson, Executive Director of the Frisco Bowl.  “These games allow us to showcase the city of Frisco to a national TV audience on ESPN while providing a first-class experience for our incoming teams and fans.”

The first bowl game will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 15, with kickoff scheduled for 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET. The matchup will be nationally televised on ESPN.

The 2026 Frisco Bowl will be played on Wednesday, Dec. 23. This will be the 9th edition of the Frisco Bowl, which began in 2017. By partnering with Ford Center at The Star, one of the premier football destinations in the country, the Bowl remains rooted in Frisco while providing fans, student-athletes, and coaches with a first-class, climate-controlled experience. Kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT/9 p.m. ET, with the game nationally televised on ESPN.
