FRISCO, Texas (April 6, 2026) ー The PGA of America announced today that ticket registration is underway for the 2027 PGA Championship. One of golf’s four Majors, the PGA Championship will be contested May 17-23, 2027, on Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco, the Home of the PGA of America and Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa. The 2027 PGA Championship marks the first time a men’s Major Championship will be played in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in more than six decades.
Drawing global attention, the PGA Championship annually features the strongest field in golf as 156 of the world’s top players, including 20 PGA of America Golf Professionals, compete for the iconic Wanamaker Trophy. The 109th edition of the Championship is expected to attract more than 200,000 attendees from across Texas and the nation, while broadcast coverage will reach nearly 500 million households in more than 170 countries worldwide.
The two previous times the PGA Championship was held in North Texas, two of golf's most legendary figures hoisted the Wanamaker Trophy. In 1927, at Cedar Crest Country Club in Dallas, Walter Hagen claimed his fourth consecutive PGA Championship title, and in 1963, a young Jack Nicklaus celebrated the third Major Championship of his Hall of Fame career with a win at Dallas Athletic Club.
Based on the historically high demand for tickets, early registration is strongly recommended at pgachampionship.com/register starting at 10 a.m. CT on April 6. Registration will run through May 18, 2026.
“The 2027 PGA Championship at PGA Frisco represents a milestone moment for the region and for golf fans across the state,” said Jason Mengel, Championship Director. “We are excited to open ticket registration for this historic return of a men’s Major Championship to Texas for the first time in nearly 60 years."

All purchased tickets for the 2027 PGA Championship include access to the Championship+ experience, featuring complimentary food and non-alcoholic beverages at concession stands located throughout the grounds.
Tickets for the 2027 PGA Championship will be available exclusively through a free, no-obligation online registration process at pgachampionship.com/register. Registration places individuals in a first-come, first-served queue for the opportunity to purchase tickets when sales to registrants begin May 20, 2026.
Those who register will be assigned a group and a designated purchase window. As their window approaches, registrants will receive instructions on how to complete their ticket purchase.
Registration requires a name, email address and mailing address and is limited to one entry per unique email address.
The PGA of America continues its commitment to accessibility through its junior and Military ticket programs, including:

  • Each ticketed adult may bring up to two children ages 15 and under free of charge each day, with junior tickets available at the Admission and Will Call Office. No advance registration is required.
  • Eligible U.S. Military members, including Active Duty, Veterans, Reserve and National Guard members, will have access to daily grounds tickets for themselves and one guest, subject to availability. More info regarding military tickets will be released in Fall 2026.

Additional details regarding ticket pricing and package options will be announced in May 2026. The PGA Championship annually delivers the deepest and most competitive field in men’s golf, featuring the world’s top professionals from global tours and rankings, along with the 20 top performers from the PGA Professional Championship. The list of past champions includes legends such as Walter Hagen, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Tiger Woods, and in recent years defending champion
Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Brooks Koepka, Xander Schauffele and Justin Thomas. Next year, the PGA Championship will debut on Fields Ranch East at PGA Frisco, marking the third Major Championship hosted at the course designed by renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse, following the 2023 Senior PGA Championship won by Steve Stricker and 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA
Championship won by Minjee Lee.
