Sure, families within driving distance would love exploring the park's seven themed lands (Minions, SpongeBob, and Shrek to name a few), but I wondered if this Dallas suburb merited the cost of a flight.

After sending seasoned travelers to Frisco to do some investigating for the Good Housekeeping 2026 Travel Awards, I'm convinced that families with kids under 12 should go even if Universal wasn't a part of the itinerary. The current attractions and hotels are that much fun, and a good value to boot! Once Universal Kids Resort opens sometime in 2026 (an exact date hasn't been released yet), you could easily stay a week in Frisco and not run out of things to do.
