FRISCO, TEXAS, Nov. 18, 2025 – Visit Frisco announced today that the destination has been named a winner in Good Housekeeping’s 2026 Travel Awards. The full list of winners can be found at goodhousekeeping.com/travel2026

Recognized for its family-friendly experiences, vibrant sports scene and inclusive attractions, Frisco, known as Sports City USA, offers travelers a destination where families can play, learn and connect through shared experiences. This Dallas suburb “hits it out of the park with its kid-friendly attractions,” according to Good Housekeeping editors and testers.

Just 25 miles north of Dallas, visitors can tour Dallas Cowboys’ world headquarters, known as The Star, play a round at PGA Frisco, catch a RoughRiders game from the lazy river at Riders Field, described by one tester’s 9-year-old son as “the best day in his whole life,” and explore interactive attractions like KidZania and the National Videogame Museum. At the National Videogame Museum, families can play both new and nostalgic games together across a range of interactive exhibits while KidZania offers an indoor city designed for children to role-play more than 100 professions, inspiring creativity and confidence for the future workforce.

Testers stayed at the Omni PGA Frisco Resort & Spa and The Westin Dallas Stonebriar Golf Resort & Spa, noting that both properties offered a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere and convenient access to Frisco’s top attractions.

To find the best destinations, Good Housekeeping enlisted the help of more than 125 travel testers — including GH staff, travel industry experts, and trained consumer evaluators — to assess hundreds of travel experiences and services across five continents. Each tester completed a detailed survey and shared photos and videos from their trip. When evaluating destinations, testers rated attractions, accessibility, lodging variety, safety, service, and overall appeal.

This recognition underscores Frisco’s continued rise as a must-visit destination for families, with exciting new developments on the horizon including the Universal Kids Resort, debuting in 2026.
