Guinness World Record for Largest Soccer Ball Number

FRISCO, TEXAS, June 4, 2026 – Visit Frisco today set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the world’s largest soccer ball number, bringing the community together at Warren Sports Complex for a visual celebration of the sport just days before FIFA World Cup 26™ kicks off.

The record-setting event highlighted Frisco’s strong soccer culture and its position as a leading destination for youth, amateur and professional sports. As the official Team Base Camp for the Sweden Men’s National Team during the tournament, Frisco is proud to play a role in the North Texas region’s World Cup excitement.

“This record was a fun way to bring the community together while celebrating soccer, which is an important part of Frisco’s identity,” said Josh Dill, assistant executive director of Visit Frisco. “With the FIFA Men’s World Cup just days away, this moment reflects our passion for the sport, our community spirit and our excitement to welcome fans from around the world to Sports City USA.”

The attempt took place at Warren Sports Complex, where Frisco staff and designated guests assembled the display under the supervision of official Guinness World Records adjudicator Michael Empric, who observed the full attempt and certified the result after the 1,141 soccer balls were placed to spell out the number ‘2026’.

"I was so excited to join Visit Frisco for their successful Guinness World Records attempt at largest football (soccer) number,” said Michael Empric, Guinness World Records adjudicator. “You could really feel the energy from the entire community in attendance, not only to set the record, but to celebrate the World Cup coming to Frisco later this summer!"

The event showcased Frisco’s commitment to sports, community engagement and visitor experiences ahead of the World Cup. Frisco is home to the National Soccer Hall of Fame at Toyota Stadium, where fans can explore the history of the game. Visitors may also tour The Star, the Dallas Cowboys’ world headquarters, play a round of golf at PGA Frisco, home of the PGA of America or catch a Frisco RoughRiders game from the lazy river at Riders Field.
