Visit Frisco's Chicago Activation Wins Travel Weekly Magellan Award

Travel Weekly announced the 2025 Magellan Awards Winners honoring the best in travel from design to marketing. Visit Frisco is a Silver Winner in the category of Destination Marketing-Live Installation/Activation Program for their Chicago Cubs Activation.
On June 17, 2025, Visit Frisco hosted a fun influencer night at the Chicago Cubs game, bringing together family creators to spotlight Frisco as a go-to spot for family travel. The private suite was decked out with Visit Frisco’s signature style, creating a laid-back, sports-themed atmosphere that felt true to the brand. Guests enjoyed a well-deserved “Mom’s Night Out,” connecting with other family influencers, getting to know what makes Frisco special, and sharing it all with their audiences.
Goals of the activation included increasing brand awareness to position Frisco as a family-friendly destination, building relationships with influencers in the Chicago market, and inspire them to plan trips to Frisco.
The activation generated 3.5 million impressions, a reach of 53.3K, and more than $61K in earned media value.
A broad range of industry segments are represented in Travel Weekly's Magellan Awards, including Hotels and Resorts, Travel Destinations, Cruise Lines, Travel Services, Airlines and Airports, Travel Advisors and Agencies, Tour Operators, and Car Rental. The judging panel is comprised of top travel industry professionals.
