The world’s premier international sporting event is coming to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex this summer. When it comes to fun, you’re just a kick away in Frisco, Texas. Our convenient and central location is approximately 25 minutes from both Dallas Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field Airport and a short drive to Dallas Stadium where nine matches will be played. From watch parties to hosting the Swedish national team, here’s your guide to summer soccer in Frisco.

This summer, AT&T Stadium in Arlington will be known as Dallas Stadium as it hosts international soccer games for the tournament that takes place in host cities across North America from June 11 through July 19, 2026. Dallas Stadium has a capacity of 94,000 for the tournament and is where the Dallas Cowboys play their home games. Frisco’s connection with the Cowboys runs deep as The Star in Frisco is the world headquarters for America’s Team.

Dallas hosts the most matches of any host city, beginning with Netherlands vs. Japan on Sunday, June 14. Plenty of drama is sure to unfold in late June and July as four knockout matches take place including the semi-final on Tuesday, July 14.

Make your trip to Arlington easy and stress-free with a quick drive from Frisco using the Sam Rayburn Tollway or the President George Bush Turnpike. If you prefer transit? Utilize the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to Victory Station and the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) stations in Dallas and Arlington, or convenient rideshare drop-off and parking options close to the stadium for a smooth arrival.

Dallas Stadium (AT&T Stadium) in Arlington hosted three matches during the 2021 CONCACAF Gold Cup in July 2021. Frisco was also one of nine host venues during the tournament, with three matches taking place at Toyota Stadium. While no matches will take place in Frisco, Toyota Stadium will be the base camp for the Swedish national team throughout the tournament. Sweden secured its place in the tournament with a 3-2 win over Poland on March 31. FC Dallas wingback Herman Johansson earned his first start for the Swedish team the previous week. If selected for the final national team roster, Johansson will feel at home around the grounds of Toyota Stadium, which will be known as FC Dallas Stadium during the tournament.

A base camp is where a national team will both train and stay. FIFA’s requirements for base camps include a venue with two natural grass surfaces with floodlights, a team facilities building, a dedicated interview room, and more.

Yes, there will be opportunities for fans to interact with the Swedish national team and view training sessions. While much of the preparation takes place behind closed doors, international squads host community events during their stay at their base camps.

On match days—all 39 of them— FC Dallas Soccer Celebration at Simpson Plaza is the place to be. FC Dallas plays all its home games in Frisco at Toyota Stadium but will not be playing during the international tournament as Major League Soccer takes a break for the duration of the event. This gives soccer fans another excuse to come back to Frisco. The stadium is currently undergoing a $182-million renovation, upgrading existing amenities and adding plenty more at this soccer-specific stadium. New features include a new roof to provide shade from the Texas sun, more concessions, more restrooms, new suite levels and the largest video board in MLS in a soccer-specific venue. The National Soccer Hall of Fame gives guests the chance to dig into American soccer history at Toyota Stadium. This museum features more than 400 artifacts but it’s the interactive features that really leave an impression. Step into some of America’s biggest moments on the pitch with a virtual reality headset, or put yourself in photos of famous moments. Throughout the tournament, the Hall of Fame will be open seven days a week. Check their website for up-to-date hours, but typically it opens around 1:30 p.m. and closes at 5:30 p.m. with extended hours on the weekend as well as Wednesday, when it’s open until 9 p.m. and admission is reduced to $5.
