Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau Website Wins International Award

(Frisco, Texas) March 6, 2017 ~ The Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) announced today that the all new, redesigned VisitFrisco.com has won the Interactive Media Award’s (IMA) Best in Class Award in the Travel and Tourism category with a score of 483. Frisco was one of seven international entries to win the award.

Upon its foundation, and in order to effectively promote the city to potential leisure, business and sports travelers, the CVB developed and launched the first VisitFrisco.com in 2004. Since then, VisitFrisco.com has had two redesigns, including the new version which launched in September 2016. The new website is fully responsive, features a variety of integration tools and offers visitors a clean layout and easy navigation.

The Interactive Media Awards recognize the highest standards of excellence in website design and development, and honor individuals and organizations for their outstanding achievement. To win an IMA award, each entry has to successfully pass through the comprehensive judging system. Projects are scored using five specific criteria, with a score from 0-100 awarded for each criterion. The total of these five scores establishes the overall score up to a maximum of 500. Websites receiving an overall score between 480 and 500 receive Best in Class award.

The Frisco CVB’s website, VisitFrisco.com, individual scores are as follows: Design: 96; Content: 100; Feature Functionality: 100; Usability: 95 and Standards Compliance: 92. Total score of 483.
